NHTPRO M-20
October 2005—NHTPro will soon replace its former flagship A-20 powered studio monitor with the newly designed, single-channel M-20 system, featuring an updated cabinet and companion single-channel/single-rackspace, 250-watt control amplifier. The NHT M-20 is designed for both pro and project studios immersed in multichannel environments. The M-20 single-channel design replaces both the popular 2-channel A-20 (L/R) and companion C-20 (center/surround) models.

NHTPRO M80XD
October 2005—NHTPro will soon ship a new tracking monitor specifically designed to provide a powerful and accurate speaker with substantial output and transparent sonics. The M80Xd, scheduled to ship in Q3 ’05, is the first tracking monitor to feature DEQX-calibrated DSP speaker correction. With this process, all listeners, including those sitting far off-axis, will enjoy ruler-flat response and even dispersion.

NHTPRO M60Xd
October 2005—The M60Xd DEQX-calibrated DSP speaker-corrected monitor referred by Don Bassey is at once unusual and a feat of design ingenuity. The baffle is flat and wide across the tweeter to ensure even high-frequency response, but it is considerably narrower around the woofer to eliminate reflections. Further, as there are no parallel surfaces, the design reduces internal standing waves and back reflections.

NHT PRO M20
June 2005—NHT Pro's M20 ($1,000 each) is designed for multichannel environments and has a long-throw, 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch aluminum-dome tweeter, both of which are shielded. Included with each M20 monitor is a single-rackspace, Class-A/B 250W control amplifier with front panel controls for boundary and distance proximity and input sensitivity.

NHT PRO M60XD
June 2005—Featuring DEQX Calibrated DSP speaker correction technology, NHT Pro's M60Xd ($4,600/pair) has a magnesium-cone, 6.5-inch woofer in a unique cabinet in which the baffle is flat and wide across the tweeter to ensure smooth HF response, but it is considerably narrower around the woofer to eliminate reflections. The M60Xd is bi-amplified, and all crossover functions are managed by the included XdA DSP processor/amplifier. With two 8-inch magnesium-cone woofers, two 2-inch aluminum-dome midrange drivers and single 1-inch aluminum-dome tweeter, the M80Xd ($5,500/pair) also features DSP speaker correction technology. Its inputs and outputs include line and balanced (XLR) inputs, four powered outputs to power the midrange and high-frequency drivers for up to two monitors, and line and balanced outputs that connect to the XdB. The XdB is a separate, external stereo 250W amplifier that drives two 8-inch woofers per channel.

NHT PRO XD SERIES
December 2004—AT AES, NHT Pro demoed its Xd Series of high-output, low-distortion near-fields with DSP-corrected EQ control for placement compensation that provides a wide, accurate soundstage from anywhere in the listening environment. The powered, two-way M-20 monitors are $3,000/pair. The larger ($5,000/pair) M-80 tracking monitor has twin 8-inch woofers, two 2-inch-dome midranges, a 1-inch-dome tweeter and an included sub, all with system amplification and calibrated DSP processing. NHT PRO M-20
November 2004—The M-20 near/mid-field monitor features a flat, wide baffle across the tweeter and a narrower baffle surrounding the low-distortion woofer. NHT's XdA DEQX-calibrated amplifier/processor sends up to 150W to each of the four drivers in a 2-channel system. The XdA will have four presets for different boundary conditions. Room correction and multiband parametric EQ will be available in the near future as a software add-on. Retail: $3,000.

NHT PRO M-80
November 2004—The M-80 tracking monitor features two 8-inch woofers, two 2-inch dome midranges and a 1-inch dome tweeter. The woofers will be magnesium cone models, and the midranges and tweeters will be driven by NHT's XdA 250W amplifier with DEQX-calibrated DSP processing. Each channel of the amplifier will drive the woofers. This amplifier will also be used as a subwoofer amplifier to drive the S-80 sub (included with the system). Also included are four boundary positions (selectable), parametric EQ and room correction. Retail: $5,000.

NHT PRO M-00
July 2004—For smaller studios, video post and DAW applications, NHT Pro offers the M-00/S-00 Combo, a $1,749 surround package that combines five of its popular M-00 (pronounced “moo”) monitors with the S-00 subwoofer. The M-00 is a compact, powered (75-watt) two-way system with a 4.5-inch woofer and 1-inch fabric-dome tweeter in a rugged cast zinc—aluminum enclosure. Other features include magnetic shielding, XLR, TRS and RCA input connectors, and a variety of options for stand or wall mounting. The matched S-00 subwoofer combines a long-throw, 8-inch woofer in a compact 13x10x13-inch cabinet with 125 watts of onboard amplification for performance down to 39 Hz.

NHT PRO M-80
December 2003—NHT Pro offers the M-80, a passive three-way mid-field system featuring two 8-inch LF drivers, two 2-inch mid drivers and a single 1-inch HF driver. The published frequency range is 35 to 25k Hz. Although it is strictly a passive monitor, the M-80 ships with a 300W rackmount amplifier to provide power.

NHT PRO S-80 SUBWOOFER
December 2003—NHT Pro's addition to the active subwoofer world is the new S-80. This large cabinet features two 12-inch aluminum-cone LF drivers that are mounted opposing each other, which has the effect of “canceling,” and thus eliminating, physical vibration in the horizontal plane. As with NHT's M-80, this is strictly a passive device, but ships with a rackmountable crossover/amp combination that provides 250 watts of power and also allows stereo LF operation.

NHT PRO ABC 5.1 SYSTEM
December 2001—NHT Pro offers a variety of surround combinations, most notably its ABC 5.1 system ($6,800) based on the company's A-20 Stereo Monitoring System ($1,800 per pair). The system's 250W amp, though designed and EQ'd for the A-20, is rackmounted to keep monitor size smaller, avoid vibration issues and put system controls close to the mix position. The two-way acoustic suspension A-20 incorporates a 61/2-inch woofer and a 1-inch metal-dome tweeter. Features include balanced inputs, a five-position input-sensitivity control and a five-position high-frequency switch to compensate for distance to the listening position. The B-20 Subwoofer System ($2,000) is a powered subwoofer system cmprising two 14-inch enclosures, each housing a long-throw, 10-inch woofer. As for the A-20, rackmounted 250W amps power the B-20 system; all system controls are the same as the A-20, except for the high-frequency compensation. The B-20 system can operate in either stereo or mono (LFE) modes. Rounding out the ABC 5.1 system is the C-20 center-channel speaker ($1,200), which is identical to the A-20 except for a flat front instead of an angled one. NHT PRO C-20
June 2000—The C-20 active center-channel speaker is designed to mate with the A-20 monitor loudspeaker system and, with the optional B-20 Stereo Subwoofer System, expand it into a 5.1-channel monitoring suite. The C-20 provides an exact sonic duplicate of the A-20 speakers, but given its role, features a nonangled perpendicular enclosure front and vertically centered, magnetically shielded drivers. The one-rackspace, 250W monaural control amplifier includes boundary proximity, distance proximity and switchable input sensitivity as offered on the A-20 2-channel set. MSRP: $1,250 each.

NHT PRO SURROUND SYSTEMS
March 1999—NHT Pro/Vergence has announced several surround packages based around its S-00 subwoofer ($750), which features a long-throw 10-inch driver in a vented box with a 250W power amp. The M-00 surround system combines the S-00 sub with five M-00 compact, powered two-way speakers. The mag-shielded M-00s have a 4.5-inch woofer and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter in a sealed, cast-aluminum enclosure with 75W power amp. M-00s are also priced singly at $350 each. The M-00 can also be used as either a center channel or as surrounds in a larger system using the S-00 sub with NHT Pro's flagship $1,900-a-pair A-20 speakers (two-way monitors with integrated 250W/channel power amp/crossover) for the L/R pair.
