K+H O 410 MIDFIELD MONITOR
October 2007—Designed specifically for midfield monitoring, Klein + Hummel's (www.klein-hummel.com) O 410 is a tri-amped, three-way loudspeaker featuring mag-shielded drivers (10-inch LF, 3-inch soft-dome mid and 1-inch tweeter). Onboard 340/180/160-watt, hybrid, Class-A/B amplifiers in the vented enclosure extends bass to 34 Hz. Electronically balanced analog inputs are standard; optional are transformer-balanced and 192kHz/24-bit digital inputs. AES Booth #418.
KLEIN + HUMMEL M 52, M 52 D
May 2007—Updating its M 51 miniature active control monitors, Klein + Hummel has introduced the M 52 ($825 each) and M 52 D ($1,150 each). The 5.7-pound desktop units feature a 3-inch neodymium driver and an upgraded 24-watt amp, and can be AC- or DC-powered. The speakers are shielded for use near a computer or picture monitors. The M 52 D adds S/PDIF and AES/EBU digital inputs operating from 32 to 48 kHz at 24-bit resolution. Users can switch the M 52 D input between analog, digital-left and digital-right, or combine both digital channels using the front panel input-selection knob.

The M 52 active reference monitor for small studios, broadcast vans and other remote applications is extremely compact with a less than 5x5-inch footprint, housed entirely in aluminum. KLEIN + HUMMEL 0 900
June 2005—New from Klein + Hummel is the O 900 studio subwoofer, a passive design typically used with the company's O 300D, O 400 and O 500C active studio monitors. The O 900 is a direct-radiation, bass-reflex system using two magnetically shielded 12-inch woofers. The O 900 is designed for use with K+H's Pro A 2000 power amplifier. Low frequency extends to 17 Hz. Protection circuitry for the O 900 includes a look-ahead peak and thermo limiter. Input and Thru connectors are Speakon. The enclosure design can accommodate optional stacking of the O 500C monitor.
KLEIN + HUMMEL O900W
November 2004—This magnetically shielded high-performance studio subwoofer features two extra-long-excursion 12-inch woofers, extremely low-frequency, highly articulate and accurate bass with excellent impulse response reproduction down to 17 Hz (-1.5 dB), and maximum sound pressure with remarkably low distortion. It is an excellent low-frequency complement to the Klein+Hummel studio monitor models O300D, O400 and O500C. Retail: $3,000.
KLEIN + HUMMEL PRO M 1012/Monitor Controller
October 2004—Surround control and bass management. Up to 7.1 with additional stereo near-field system switching between different surround loudspeaker setups (i.e., music or cinema). Assignable HP/LP X-over functions, individually controllable for each channel, with unique X-over frequencies/slopes created by adding additional filter modules. Fully variable bass routing configurable for each channel. Fully variable LFE routing, such as to dedicated subwoofer(s), or LFE redirection to satellite speakers. Four-step phase adjustment (0, -60, -120, -180) for accurate sub/satellite alignment. All kinds of downmixes are possible, such as 7.1-to-5.1, 5.1 and stereo. Retail: $7,000.
KLEIN + HUMMEL O 110—Klein+Hummel offers two active near-field models, the O 110, with a 5.5-inch LF driver and 1-inch HF driver; each receives 50 watts of amplification. The O 300 D is a three-way, tri-amplified system with an 8-inch LF driver, 3-inch midrange and a 1-inch HF driver. The LF driver is powered with 150 watts, and the mid and HF driver each get 65 watts.
KLEIN + HUMMEL O 500
December 2003—An active mid-field, the Klein+Hummel O 500 is a three-way system sporting a 12-inch LF driver, a 3-inch mid and a 1-inch HF driver. Copious amplification is provided: 400 watts going to the LF, 230 watts to the mids and 290 watts to the HF. The manufacturer's published frequency response is 30 to 20k Hz.
KLEIN + HUMMEL O 800 SUBWOOFER
December 2003—Klein+Hummel's O 800 active sub sports a 10-inch LF driver powered by a 120W amplifier. The stated frequency response is 30 Hz to 90 Hz, and the sub is intended for usage with Klein+Hummel's O 110, O 300 D or O 500 monitors.

October 2003—The O300D is a compact, three-way mid/near-field active studio monitor featuring an 8.25-inch (210mm) woofer, 3-inch (76mm) soft-dome midrange driver and a titanium/fabric-dome tweeter in a sealed enclosure with a unique molded baffle/waveguide. Three amplifiers are purpose-matched to their drivers and feature an exceptional low-distortion Lundahl input transformer. The O300D is a superbly integrated system with exceptional, revealing accuracy; an outstanding reference tool for mixing. MSRP: $2,795/each.

June 2000—The Klein + Hummel O 198 is a three-way tri-amped monitor that incorporates an 8.25-inch polypropylene cone woofer, a 3-inch fabric soft-dome midrange driver and a 1-inch titanium-alloy dome tweeter. The power for this magnetically shielded monitor is delivered by a bass amp providing 100W at 4 ohms, a midrange amp providing 50W at 8 ohms and a HF amp delivering 50W at 6 ohms. The O 198 has an integrated protection circuit to prevent damage to the drivers or overheating of the power amplifiers. The monitor’s free-field frequency response is 45 to 20k Hz. MSRP: $4,000 per pair.
