BAG END/MODULAR SOUND P-D18E-AD
October 2005—The Bag End (www.bagend.com) P-D18E-AD is a self-powered, low-profile speaker system containing two 18-inch subwoofers in a cabinet that’s only 15 inches high. Powered by the internal 1,000W Minima One amplifier, the P-D18E-AD displays the same acoustic properties of its more conventionally shaped brother, the D18E, with a frequency response from 8 Hz to 95 Hz, ±3 dB. The P-D18E-AD is 38x15x30 inches (WxHxD). Price: $3,220.
BAG END M6
June 2005—Bag End's M6 is a two-way passive system employing a 6-inch woofer and a 1-inch coaxially mounted neodymium tweeter. Designed for critical near-field monitoring, the M6 uses Bag End's Time Align
BAG END E-TRAP
November 2004—Designers of control rooms and studios employ large acoustical bass traps to dampen low-frequency modal resonances. The E-Trap is a physically small, electronic, tunable bass trap that offers easy electronic adjustment of parameters, allowing resonance dampening and a flattening of the frequency response. Independent of the monitor loudspeaker system, the E-Trap can be used to improve low-frequency acoustics in a room with or without a sound system. Retail: $1,195.
BAG END INFRA-MXB
November 2004—The INFRA-MXB is a single-rackspace stereo electronic crossover with mono-sum INFRA bass processing. The MXB low-frequency output offers dual integration and dynamic filter protection. Surface-mount technology construction throughout and an improved grounding scheme ensures high performance and low noise. MXB dual integrators provide flat response down to 8 Hz when used with Bag End INFRA Series bass speaker systems. Outputs are low-impedance and balanced. Retail: $1,180.
BAG END M6
December 2003—Bag End's M6 passive near-field is equipped with a 6-inch LF driver and a co-ax 1-inch HF driver. The published frequency response is 60 to 20k Hz.
BAG END INFRASUB18/12 PRO
October 2002—The INFRAsub18 PRO (pictured) and INFRAsub12 PRO models offer new features for pro studio surround monitoring, such as six balanced XLR inputs and five highpass filtered, balanced XLR outs. In addition, an ELF (Extended Low Frequency) calibrated slave output is provided for additional subs. A remote concealment indicator allows concealment to be monitored remotely from the bridge of the mixing console. Both models have internal 400W amps and Bag End's exclusive ELF dual integrator for a flat response to either 8 Hz (INFRAsub18) or 20 Hz (INFRAsub12).
BAG END SURROUND PACKAGE
December 2001—Bag End Loudspeakers' studio surround monitoring system comprises five of the company's MM-8H Time-Align monitors ($1,320 each) and one Infrasub-18 ELF subwoofer ($1,670), for a total package price of $8,270. Targeted at post, mastering and film/video production facilities, the MM-8H is a two-way, coaxial passive monitor with an 8-inch LF cone and 1.75-inch aluminum HF compression driver. Weight is 29 pounds, and the cabinet is 16.5x12.5x8.5 inches (HxWxD). Bag End's Infrasub-18 is an extended low-frequency powered sub for the project studio and home theater. The unit has an 18-inch ELF cone transducer and an onboard 400W power amp with a built-in ELF dual integrator to provide a flat acoustical response all the way down to 8 Hz. The sub is available in black vinyl; walnut, oak, maple and rosewood enclosures are also available.
BAG END MM-8H/INFRASUB SURROUND SYSTEM
March 1999—BAG End offers a 5.1 system made up of five of its new MM-8H reference monitors and one INFRASUB-18 ELF subwoofer. The MM-8H monitor is a passive coaxial design with an 8-inch woofer and 1.75-inch aluminum high-frequency compression driver. A proprietary passive crossover ensures time alignment within 25 microseconds between high- and low-frequency drivers. Designed to be used with an ELF subwoofer, the compact MM-8H offers a frequency response of 95 to 20k Hz.
BAG END INFRASUB-18
March 1999—The INFRASUB-18 subwoofer from Bag End uses a direct-radiating 18-inch driver, 400W amplifier and ELF (Extended Low-Frequency) circuit to generate low-frequency output from 8 to 95 Hz. According to Bag End, the system offers time-coherent output beyond the limits of human hearing (8 to 20k Hz). The Bag End surround system has a list price of $7,155.
