ATC SCM16A MONITORS
November 2007—This new console-top monitor from ATC (dist. by LasVegasProAudio, www.lasvegasproaudio.com) boasts improved off-axis frequency response through the use of Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) on the bass driver. The innovation uses two lightweight driver cones that sandwich a constrained damping layer. When the cone flexes, CLD shears adjacent cone sections, causing unwanted vibration energy to dissipate as frictional heat rather than acoustic distortion. In addition to the 6-inch CLD mid/bass driver, the SCM16A ($3,995/pair) has a 1-inch, neodymium, soft-dome tweeter, upgraded onboard (200- and 50-watt) bi-amplification, and user-adjustable input sensitivity and bass boost.
ATC SCM20SL
October 2006—The new ATC passive SCM20SL ($3,500 per pair) loudspeakers feature the same woofer and tweeter as the active SCM20ASL. The SCM20SL passives are housed in a conventional "pro-black" box for easy placement on any meter bridge. ATC recommends amplifiers with at least 200 watts per channel of power. The SCM20SL passive low-frequency section is a hybrid design incorporating a 150mm bass cone with a grafted 75mm soft-dome for midrange-assist. The woofer magnet assembly uses ATC's "SL" technology to greatly reduce third-harmonic distortion and reveal mistakes and details. All ATC drivers are manufactured in-house.
ATC SMC 110 COMPACT MONITORS
December 2005—Aimed at the high-end user, these compact, active three-way speakers from ATC can be purchased for stereo or multichannel setups that feature a dedicated center channel and subwoofer. The low-profile design offers better sight lines through windows and below obstructions. The cabinet houses twin 9-inch ATC SL bass drivers, an ATC 3-inch soft-dome mid and a soft-dome 1-inch tweeter powered by six MOSFET amplifier blocks that can boost the SPL up to 115 dB. Amp output is 50 watts for HF, 100W for MF and 200W for LF with an LF contour control providing 6 dB of bass boost. Price: $30,000 a pair.
ATC PA65ASL
November 2005—High-end monitor manufacturer ATC announced the PA65ASL, an active three-way system designed for sound reinforcement and priced at $7,500/speaker.
ATC LOUDSPEAKERS SCM110ASL
October 2005—The SCM110ASL Pro is an active three-way system suitable for reference monitoring in medium- to large-sized rooms. Designed as far-field loudspeakers that are also compact, the SCM110ASL features dual 234mm Super Linear bass drivers and ATC’s unique midrange soft-dome driver. The active design ensures optimum matching of eight MOSFET amp blocks to the drivers, providing plenty of transient headroom.
ATC SCM20ASL
June 2005—Distributed by LasVegasProAudio.com, ATC's SCM20ASL ($7,750/pair) is a two-way, active near-field. The monitor employs a 6.5-inch driver for the LF and a 1-inch waveguide-loaded dome tweeter for the HF. All drivers are manufactured by ATC, as are the crossovers and amps. The SCM20ASL has two separate amplifier blocks in each cabinet: 250W for bass/mid and 50W for high frequencies. A rear panel selector provides a flat setting and five LF boost settings for tailoring low-end response to different environments.
ATC SCM50ASL PRO
June 2005—The larger ATC SCM50ASL Pro ($14,750/pair) is an active, three-way system for medium-sized rooms. The monitor uses a 9.2-inch ATC driver for the LF, a 3-inch midrange soft-dome driver and a 1-inch waveguide-loaded dome tweeter for the HF. Onboard amps provide 200W LF, 100W for the mids and 50W HF. An LF contour control provides five bass-boost settings.
ATC SCM20ASL PRO
July 2004—Distributed by Transamerica Audio Group, ATC's SCM20ASL Pro 5.1 package ($22,900) includes five active SCM20ASL Pro monitors with an active ATC Sub 1/15 Pro subwoofer. Combining two decades of innovative speaker design with the latest advances in materials technology, the ATC system is a unique, ultrahigh-quality surround system that just so happens to be extremely portable. The three-way SCM20ASL Pro monitor employs ATC's Super Linear magnet structure in its 6-inch mid/bass drive unit and is coupled with a 1-inch tweeter. The SCM20ASL Pro's active two-way amplifier design incorporates separate dual amp blocks in each cabinet and can deliver continuous SPLs of up to 108 dB measured at one meter. At the monitor's rear, a selector panel provides five LF boost settings and a flat reference setting. The ATC Sub 1/15 Pro subwoofer offers a custom-built 15-inch woofer driven by a massive, built-in 1,000W amp. The sub's versatile interface provides simplified setup with phase, level, lowpass and contour controls.
ATC SCM12
December 2003—ATC has announced the SCM12, a passive three-way near-field that features a 6-inch LF driver mechanically coupled with a 3-inch midrange driver. A 1-inch HF driver provides the high end. ATC manufactures its own drivers, and reports a frequency response of 62 to 20k Hz and power handling of 100 to 300 watts.
ATC LOUDSPEAKERS SCM12 PRO
October 2003—ATC Loudspeakers is introducing a 12-inch, high-performance, passive, two-way system capable of monitoring outstanding levels of music and soundtrack reproduction. The units feature a hand-built driver with a 75mm, midrange, soft-dome mechanically coupled onto a 150mm bass cone. The 177mm very high-flux, superlinear magnet achieves excellent linearity and low distortion while offering exceptional power handling and dynamic range.
ATC T-17
November 2002—British speaker manufacturer ATC re-enters the U.S. project studio market with its T-16 ($3,000/per pair) monitor. These active monitors were designed with modern music production in mind and are tailored to the sound of rock, hip hop and dance music. The T-16 houses a 6.5-inch mid-bass driver and a 1-inch tweeter in a ported enclosure. All power is derived from the internal amplifier, which delivers 200W to the woofer and 50W to the tweeter. The T-16 also includes controls for variable sensitivity and bass boost.
ATC T16 SPECIAL-EDITION MONITOR
October 2002—The T16 Special-Edition Monitor offers unique voicing for the American rock 'n' roll market. Set up for higher output levels and more bass output, the T16 provides users with signature ATC clarity in the near-field meter bridge application. Unit includes 6.5-inch, active two-way, with internal 200W and 50W amplifiers. Price: $3,000/pair.

The twin SCM 0.1/15A subs, each with built-in 1,000W amps, can be used as the LFE source in a multichannel system or to extend extreme LF in 2-channel systems with smaller monitors.
ATC SCMO
March 1999¸—Unveiled at AES, the SCM0.1/15 High-Power Sub Bass from ATC is designed specifically for surround applications, with internal 1,000-watt amplification said to produce SPLs to 124 dB with response down to 18 Hz (-6 dB) from a 2x2-foot cube. Onboard signal processing provides for easy setup with phase, level, lowpass and contour controls. Lowpass frequencies are adjustable to include the recommended 150 Hz for Dolby AC3. An optional multichannel control unit allows routing any of the five main channels into the sub, with full gain and phase control, for low-frequency support on any or all of the monitor channels.
