GOLD LINE DSPC1
May 2003—At NSCA, Gold Line (www.gold-line.com) demoed its DSPCI Black Box, now with a Palm PDA interface, offering pocket-sized, color screen displays of full, 1/3, 1/6 and 1/12-octave RTAs; NC; RT60; speaker timing; intelligibility; distortion testing; and more.
GOLD LINE TEF20 WINDOWS SOFTWARE UPGRADE
November 2002—Gold Line debuts new Windows software for its TEF20 acoustical analysis system. Previously available only in DOS format, the MLS Windows upgrade lets TEF20 users obtain an impulse-response measurement containing the entire audio frequency range over the measured time range. Impulse data is stored as a .WAV file for easy export to other applications, and all MLS post processing is available for any other .WAV file. Display options from a single-impulse response include impulse, doublet, intensity, energy time curve, log-squared impulse from time-domain magnitude, phase, group delay, Heyser spiral, Nyquist from frequency domain and 3-D waterfall. Time-domain data can be further processed to obtain reverb time (RT60) and noise criteria (NC) curves, as well as speech intelligibility indicators, %ALcons and STI/RaSTI. Price for new users is $450; the DOS MLS to Windows MLS upgrade is $250.
GOLD LINE STI OPT-CIS MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
October 2002—Using Gold Line's DSP30 analyzer platform with the STI-PA signal CD developed by TNO Laboratories in the Netherlands, contractors have an accurate measurement system for quantifying speech intelligibility. With the STI-PA signal playing, a single push of the button on the Gold Line DSP30 produces the STI, converted to the Common Intelligibility Scale as specified in IEC standard 60849.
GOLD LINE TEF20 SOFTWARE
December 2001: Gold Line has introduced Sound Lab Polar ETC software for Windows, a significant upgrade for the TEF20 acoustical analysis system. Polar ETC allows TEF users to identify the direction of origin for any reflection rapidly, aiding in the selection and placement of acoustical materials. The new software is compatible with all Windows 95 or later operating systems, including NT and Win2000, and may be ordered with a mic stand and positioning arm (SLPET50: $495) or as a deluxe $795 kit with stand, arm, cardioid mic, precision laser pointer and case.
