STAGETEC AURUS
September 2007—StageTec (www.stagetec.com) offers new software and a revised control surface for its AURUS digital consoles. An offline editor allows setting up presession console configurations using a Windows PC without physical access to the mixer. The NEXUS Audio network can also be similarly set up offline directly from the AURUS master section. On the hardware side, graphics-enabled OLED displays showing channel and layer configurations on the channel strip will replace the matrix displays previously used.
STAGETEC AURATUS
September 2007—Big news from StageTec is AURATUS, a compact console for TV/broadcast/remote recording and live sound applications where the full configurability of AURUS is not required. Among its features are audio-follows-video functions, eight separately configurable mix-minus buses, and a simple user interface with a short learning curve and OLED and TFT displays. AURATUS has a hardwired bus layout with a maximum of 32 input channels, eight groups, one stereo and one 5.1 sum, eight aux paths, eight mix-minus sums and full integration with the NEXUS audio routing system.
STAGETEC AURUS VERSION 2.5
September 2006—Version 2.5 software for StageTec's Aurus enhances the board's scene automation facility with freely configurable virtual layers, allowing the user to have different channel assignments available with each snapshot. The console's surface can be instantly customized to the user's preference with each scene change. StageTec also announces a single-rackspace Base Device for its Nexus routers, providing maximum power and flexibility in an ultra-compact, highly portable system.
STAGETEC NEXUS, AURUS
July 2006—Stagetec's Nexus and Aurus consoles offer a new high-density I/O frame that accommodates sub-modules for analog, AES/MADI-format digital and fiber-optic connections.
STAGETEC AURUS
September 2005—Stagetec’s AURUS provides access to as many as 300 channels via up to 96 channel strips. Microphone inputs feature the company’s 28-bit TrueMatch A/D conversion, while line inputs feature 24-bit TrueMatch A/D conversion. AURUS operates at sample rates of 44.1/48/96 kHz, with 40-bit internal processing. A central channel panel provides all settings typically needed during normal operation. AURUS works with Stagetec’s NEXUS audio network. DSP is integrated into the chassis of the NEXUS STAR, a rackmount unit housing all audio processing components and provides routing (as required by the user) for analog mic/line input and line out or a variety of digital I/O. Two different channel types (full and short) adapt available DSP resources to project-specific applications. PC-compatible software facilitates automation for compete store and recall of all system settings on- or offline, though a computer is not required for use during production. Pricing is dependent on configuration.
STAGETEC AURUS
April 2004—Stagetec will show the digital mixing console AURUS, which features an analog-style surface with full instant control to the mixing functions. When designing the AURUS, quick and simple operation was a key objective. The console innately features a universal basic configuration. The sequence of functions on the channel strips can be modified by the user. Hence, it shows the same flexibility as Stagetec's long-term winner, CANTUS. TO READ THE REVIEW, CLICK HERE.
STAGETEC NEXUS
April 2004—The modular digital routing system NEXUS will be shown with a new set of I/O cards. One highlight will be the AES/EBU input card with AES-42 option for digital microphones. It allows users to connect digital microphones directly to the NEXUS and remote control all functions of the mics. NEXUS can be used as an audio interface for the digital mixing consoles AURUS or CANTUS, and then offers a direct connection between the digital microphone and console.
STAGETEC CANTUS MK II
October 2000—Stagetec's Cantus is the ultimate Digital Mixing Console for broadcast, theater, post, scoring and OB vans. Cantus features local/central channel control, 10 layers, fully assignable touch-sensitive knobs. Multiple Cantus Consoles share I/O through Stagetec's distributed hardware Nexus audio router. Fiber-optic cables interconnect consoles and Nexus. 40-bit floating-point SHARCs give sonic perfection. 5.1 and 7.1 panning with motorized joysticks. Mix Minus System with automatic Talk-Around.
