ALTO GHIBLI16FX
October 2006—Alto’s (www.altopa.com) new Ghibli mixer sets a new precedent in small-format mixer design. Its 11x8x1-inch chassis offers 16 channels of mixing capability. Four microphone inputs offer three bands of parametric EQ with a mid sweep, a selectable preset compressor/de-esser and 100Hz rumble filter. Sixteen preset 24-bit DSP, which includes variable reverb, round out the feature set. The GHIBLI16FX has a retail of $189 and is available from The Yorkville Group.
ALTO L SERIES
June 2005—Alto showed its L Series of recording/live analog mixers, which feature an assignable USB port that can be set to either the main or sub 1/2 outputs for recording or routed to the main mix or channels 15/16 for playback.
ALTO CYCLONE
January 2005—Based on the low-weight Typhoon live mixer, Alto presents a new line of compact large-format mixers, the Cyclone Series. Features include low noise, high headroom, no pad microphone preamplifiers with 60dB gain, S/N ratio of 130 dB, THD is 0.003%, 4-band EQ, six auxes, each channel assignable pre/post with AFL mode, master aux send, 4580 operational amplifiers, four stereo returns and more.
ALTO TYPHOON
March 2004—Alto Pro Audio's Typhoon offers a 16-channel/8-group mixer that fits in a 19-inch rack and a 48-channel model in a 48-inch-wide/50-pound package. Features include 4-band sweep EQ, eight mute groups, eight auxes (pre/post-assignable), built-in intercom and direct out and insert on all inputs.
ALTO DRAGONFLY
March 2004—Distributed by ART, Alto's new Dragonfly Series powered 6 to 20-channel mixers have onboard digital amps. The 2x450-watts (into 4 ohms) PM16 is a svelte 18 pounds and retails at $749.
